General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse are on a state visit to Vietnam. The visit from September 10-13 is made at the invitation of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and his spouse.

Mozambican President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi and his spouse are on a three-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Party General Secretary and President To Lam and his spouse. This trip marks President Nyusi's first visit to Vietnam since taking office and also the first visit by a Mozambican president to the Southeast Asian nation in over 17 years.

Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embaló and his spouse are currently on an official visit to Vietnam from September 5-9. This visit, made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President To Lam and his spouse, marks the first time a President of Guinea-Bissau has visited Vietnam since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1973.

Since Vietnam - Bangladesh diplomatic relations were established on February 2, 1973, bilateral ties have been consolidated and continually grown.

The traditional friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Uruguay have been further strengthened since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1993.

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is the third country that Vietnam has established diplomatic ties with. Since then, Vietnam has always treasured the traditional friendship with the DPRK.
